A State Park permit is needed.
- The Recreation Passport is your $10 ticket to Michigan's state parks and outdoor adventures!
- Out-of-state residents will still be required to purchase a $8 daily permit or a $29 annual Motor Vehicle Permit.
- Michigan residents CANNOT purchase a one day, you must do the Recreation Passport.

Buses & Clothing (5k): |
- Busing begins at 5:45 AM - It is about a 15 minute ride
- Loading will be in the upper parking lot near the pavilion
- Buses will leave every 15 minutes or when full
- Clothing worn to the start may be bagged and send back to the finish area. We will provide the bags and transportation of the bags.

The Wetsuit Division is back!
Swimmers wearing wetsuits are welcome to register in the Wetsuit Division, but may be started in a different wave and will not be tabulated with the age group swimmers who do not wear wetsuits. However, swimmers wearing any suits approved by USMS will be permitted to swim and be tabulated with the age group swimmers. Note - USMS joined USA and FINA in banning use of the full body "speed suits". If you want to wear one of these banned suits - you must swim in the wetsuit division.

5k Team Competition Rules (Each team member swims the entire 5k, not a relay. Lowest time wins): |
Youth Teams (ages 14-18):
- Team Size - a minimum of five swimmers
- These may be informal teams, no affiliation needed
- Two Divisions: Male and Female
- Add the overall finish place of the top five finishers for the team
Adult Teams (age 19+):
- Team Size - a minimum of five swimmers and a maximum of ten
- These my be informal teams, no affiliation needed
- Three Divisions: Male, Female, Mixed-Mixed teams shall include at least two women, and at least two women on each mixed team shall be included among the team's five scorers
- Add the overall finish place of the top five finishers for the team

| Rules: |

Flotation or propulsive devices are not permitted.
- Devices used to maintain body heat are illegal.
- Swimmers may rest by holding on to nearby structures (docks, rafts) or vessels, but forward progress shall be made only be self-propulsion (swimming, wading).
- The official course shall be determined by floating buoys anchored at each turn and swimmers must travel around the outside of each said buoys. Cutting inside a corner buoy shall be cause for disqualification.
- USMS swimsuit rules apply - The competitor shall wear onlly one swimsuit in one or two pieces. All swimsuits shall be made from textile materials. For men, the swimsuit shall not extend above the navel nor below the knees, and for women, shall not cover the neck, extend past the shoulder, nor extend below the knees.
- All swimmers are required to wear the supplied swim caps.
